Career pathways empower students to explore different careers, gain hands-on work experience, earn college credit, develop in-demand skills and build a plan for the future. While career pathways look different in each community, they should be centered in equity, student voice and a vision for wealth building.
Career Academies helps launch and strengthen these programs at schools across the state, from a Saint Paul Public Schools initiative to encourage more Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian and students of color to pursue teaching to a hands-on medical career pathway program at Worthington High School in southwest Minnesota.
